ALL PRODUCTS

General rules

  • The environment of use must not be damp and excessively dusty.
  • All products must be stored in the appropriate storage systems after being used.
  • All products must be cleaned of dust, magnesite and sweat after daily use.
  • For a correct duration all the products that must be dropped on the ground must be used on proper protected floor area with a thickness of the rubber flooring greater than or equal to 2 cm.
  • Outdoors only use products that have been designed for that use.
  • Do not use detergents that are too aggressive for cleaning products. Chlorine, Acetone or similar chemicals can damage the equipment and will void the warranty.

 

BOLTED PRODUCTS

All products with bolts must be periodically checked in their tightening in order to guarantee the correct safety of the user and to avoid possible breakage of loose or insufficiently tight parts, causing the breakage of the same and also the cancellation of the validity of the warranty.

PAINTED PRODUCTS

Painted products must always be clean from sweat, moisture, magnesite, dust. After each use it is recommended to clean all the painted equipment first with a damp cloth and then with a dry one. Dents and scratches have to be dealt with immediately and retouched to avoid the appearance of rust.

BARBELLS

All the barbell sleeves do not require any special maintenance except for the attention not to keep it in contact with liquids. No lubrication is necessary as they are equipped during production. Do not clean the barbell sleeves and the knurling of the bars with steel brushes so as not to scratch the surface.

RUBBER, FABRIC, LEATHER PRODUCTS

Use a damp cloth for cleaning and if you use detergents, only use neutral ones and not excessively aggressive ones.

 

Safe use of BEARFITNESS® products

All products have been designed, developed and manufactured for professional functional training. BEARFITNESS assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries to people caused by improper use of the products. It is recommended that you always use common sense when using the training equipment, this will protect you from any risk of injury to yourself, other people in the vicinity, animals, objects and property.

 

During unpacking and assembly, the instructions in the user manual must be followed. All recommended tools and accessories must already be available before starting assembly operations. The lack of tools and suitable equipment for this operation can cause injuries or hurt people or damage objects. Before removing packaging and proceeding with the assembly of BEARFITNESS products, always make sure that you are operating in a safe and sufficiently large place. Given the cumbersome volume and the high weight of many items, it is recommended to avoid their positioning on irregular surfaces or their housing in places placed at a high height as their fall could cause injury to people or damage to property. BEARFITNESS assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries to people caused by the wrong choice of the place where unpacking, storage, assembly and outfitting.

For all products that require installation and fixing to walls and existing floors or structures, we recommend the advice of an expert technician who can calculate and confirm the stability and the weight support of the structure on which you intend to put the BEARFITNESS product.

BEARFITNESS in respect of environmental issues tries to use as far as possible only eco-friendly materials for packaging and recommends to all its customers to provide for a proper disposal of the different materials used for the boxes and packaging. Environmental care must always be the first rule.

Particular attention should be paid to the equipment and parts of the same most easily subject to wear and damage such as ropes, cables, straps, bushings, buckles, elastic bands, joints, etc.

All bolted equipment have to be checked regularly to check that bolts and nuts are properly tightened and tight.

In the event that any BEARFITNESS product is found to be defective, damaged, worn out or malfunctioning, it must be removed from use and repaired or replaced.

Unless a BEARFITNESS product has been designed and built for outdoor use and storage, outdoor use and storage may cause premature wear and deterioration. We also inform you that any damaged or worn item does not meet the safety standards necessary for its use and has to be promptly removed to proceed with its repair or replacement.

All notices and recommendations on the products must in no way be removed or covered.

BEARFITNESS is in no way responsible for damage caused to objects and animals or injuries to persons caused by negligent behavior that lead to failure to control and to the lack of maintenance of equipment and products.

 

Fundamental basic rules before and during the use of all BEARFITNESS® products

  • Always use all the safety measures required by the rules of use
  • Never overload your training equipment. Always follow the instructions provided. Any overloaded product may suddenly break, bend or break and cause injury to people.
  • Always consult a doctor before embarking on any type of training program. It is recommended to consult an expert trainer before starting any physical exercise. To prevent the possibility of injury to muscles, tendons and ligaments, avoid any kind of overtraining.
  • Proper warm up before training prevents the possibility of injury.
  • Always start training with a very low level of effort and then increase consistently with your abilities and physical conditions.
  • In case of nausea, difficulty breathing, chest or head pain, stop the training immediately and consult a doctor if the symptoms mentioned above persist.
  • Always train by wearing clothes and shoes suitable for the type of training.
  • Always work out on a suitable floor.
  • Children should not use any product for training unless supervised by adults.
  • It is recommended not to swallow splinters, fragments or flakes coming from the finish of the products as it could be the painting, the chromium plating or residual raw material from the article production.
  • Always pay attention to children, training tools are not toys.
  • BEARFITNESS is in no way responsible for allergic reactions or personal injury caused to people during exercise with their products for training.
  • Keep in mind that chemicals and metals such as Lead, Chrome, Nickel or Cadmium are commonly used industrially and could lead to allergic reactions or personal injury.
  • The use of articles made with natural latex could lead to allergic skin reactions. Always check that the workout item you will be using is not made of a material you are allergic to.

 

GYM AND HOME GYM FIXED TRAINING EQUIPMENT 

This category includes all the structures placed on the floor or fixed on the floor, or on the wall, ceiling or any other fixed structure.

They can be used for all those training and gymnastic exercises that allow physical shaping, wellness and health/ fitness improvement, preventive and rehabilitation treatments or specific training in view of competitions.

All the components of these equipment are manufactured in compliance with the law UNI EN ISO 20957-1 November 2013, within which are stated all the general safety requirements and test methods for this type of equipment. BEARFITNESS® fixed equipment is built in accuracy class A (high accuracy) and for classes S (Gym) and H (Home). The Class S provides for their use in professional and/or commercial areas, therefore in training areas of organizations such as sport associations, schools, hotels, clubs and gyms where access and control are specifically regulated by the owner (legally responsible person). The Class H provides for their use in private homes where access is regulated by the owner (legally responsible person).

For the installation of this category of equipment, it is essential to respect the assembly information available on the appropriate section of our website. The assembly instructions contain all the correct data to proceed with a safe installation and inform about which are the tools required to complete it. Once finished the assembly phase, a general inspection is required in order to verify the following points:

  • Conformity between the assembled and installed configuration and the configuration proposed in the characteristics of the purchased item and indicated in the assembly instructions
  •  Correct tightening of all bolts
  • In case of presence of ropes, the lack on them of single strands that move away from the braiding
  • Lack of edges and protrusions generated by an incorrect installation
  • In case of wall and/or floor fixing, lack of cracks in the support surfaces after clamping due to over-tightening or lack of consistency of the support where the fixture was chosen to be fixed

All fixed equipment for Gym and Home Gym are built according to accuracy class A to be used by classes S and H.

The free surface surrounding the mounted equipment must provide at least 1.5 m from the surface generated by the projection of the equipment on the ground, an area that allows safe training and landing from aerial exercises. This area must be free, levelled and flat. It must not present any artificial roughness that could cause an incorrect support of the user.

The utilization of our fixed equipment is for users with a minimum height of 1400 mm, the use of children is not recommended and expressly carried out under control and supervision of qualified instructors.

The fixed equipment allows users to do gymnastic exercises such as pull-ups at the bar, pull-ups at the chest bar, dip, ring dip, bar muscle up, ring muscle up, rope climb, ring row and exercises with weights such as flat bench, adjustable bench, press, push press, military press, squat, front squat. All the exercises described and any others coming from the experience of the instructor must be performed maintaining a correct position according to the exercise itself. Any incorrect execution could cause a damage for the user. Therefore, we highly recommend to non- experts’ people to not use them or doing their exercises with the supervision of a competent instructor.

All the structures have barbell supports and safety supports that allow safe exercises with overloaded barbell.  These supports, if not used, must be stored outside the free area of the equipment in order to avoid obstacles during the use of the equipment in gym exercises that could interfere with these supports.

The maximum weight of the user for gym exercises at the bar, at the climbing rope and rings is 140 kg.

The maximum weight on barbell supports and safety supports is 300 kg.

 

Inspection and maintenance instructions

Daily inspection

  • Check that the barbell supports and safety supports are stored outside the free area if athletes do gym exercises
  • Check if there have been unauthorized actions by the user during the previous use
  • In case of ropes, visual check of the rope condition and NOT presence of strands coming out or detached from the main braid

 

Biannual inspection

  • Check that all bolts are correctly tightened
  • Check that all fixing parts are correctly tightened

Annual inspection

– Check the condition of the surfaces of contact

 

OPEN AIR PERMANTLY FIXED TRAINING EQUIPMENT 

This category includes all the structures permanently installed and freely accessible for outdoor fitness. The equipment is aimed to all persons, young, adults or athletes, who are more than 1400 mm high in order to promote fitness by using the equipment to exercise.

All the components of this equipment are manufactured in compliance with the law UNI EN 16630 July 2015 where all the general safety requirements and test methods for this type of equipment are stated.

Although they meet the requirements regulated by law EN 1176, It is not allowed to fix this equipment in children’s playgrounds.

All the users must be aware of their physical limits and capabilities and, therefore, able to use the equipment to perform exercises without assistance of no one.

For the installation of this category of equipment, it is essential to respect the assembly information available on the appropriate section of our website. The assembly instructions contain all the correct data to proceed with a safe installation and inform about which are the tools required to complete it. Once finished the assembly phase, a general inspection is required in order to verify the following points:

The equipment must be installed on surfaces that are sufficiently compact and which guarantee a complete stability, favoring flat reinforced concrete surfaces or reinforced concrete plinths one for each column, as specified in the fixing recommendations in the assembly instructions.  For a correct use and in order to avoid damages and bruises, it is essential that the surface will be well protected during aerial exercises. We recommend the following here’s below when aerial activity involves a detachment from the ground and a grip from about 2m:

  • Bark shredded from conifers with a grain size of 20 to 80 mm and a thickness of about 300 mm
  • Sand grain size from 0,2 to 2 mm for a thickness of about 300 mm
  • Rubber preformed tiles with a minimum thickness of 20 mm

In case of air activities with a weight up to 4 m, please consider the use of safety cushions with a minimum thickness of 300 mm and a density of about 120/150 kg/m3 .

 

General operating instructions

In the area where the fitness equipment is located there must be an information sign with at least the following information:

  • Use of the equipment is allowed to youngers or adults or people with a total height of more than 1400 mm
  • Make sure of your medical safety before use
  • Avoid overexertion when using the equipment
  • General emergency telephone numbers
  • Telephone number and internet address to contact the maintenance staff
  • Installation address

On each equipment or nearly them, it must be shown the following information:

  •  Operating instructions with corresponding pictograms
  • Safety information if necessary
  • Maximum permitted weight of the user if necessary

The equipment will visibly show by fixed nameplate the following data:

  • Name and address of the manufacturer
  • Serial number and year of manufacture
  • Number and date of standard UNI EN 16630 July 2015

Inspection and maintenance instructions

Periodic visual inspection

  • Check that there is no obvious tampering of the structure
  • In case of ropes, visual check of the rope condition and NOT presence of strands coming out or detached from the main braid
  • In case of chains check the perfect connection of links and supports
  • If the equipment is placed in areas with a high risk of vandalism, daily inspection of the facility or the use of video surveillance systems is recommended
  • Check the condition of the protective material on the working surface, checking that there are no protruding or unlevelled parts of the ground
  • Operational inspection (quarterly)
  • Check that all bolts are correctly tightened.
  • Check that all fixing parts are correctly tightened

 

Annual inspection

  • Check of bolt tightening
  • Check of the state of the fixing to the soil/wall/other structures
  • Check the condition of ropes and chains
  • Check gripping and contact surfaces
  • Check the oxidation of all bolts
  • Check sharp edges generated by tampering or vandalism
